S.A.D. 11: Basquiat

On Saturday night, we joined friends for a little live music at Cafe International, a sweet family-owned spot in The Lower Haight. While there, pouring beer on top of the wine I'd already consumed, I rocked-out on this Jean Michel Basquiat portrait, off the top of my head.

-Bunker, out.

I'm digging this one. Just watched this flick again the other night.
I think he'd love this.

Haha... yeah, he might like this, but I think he'd LOVE another hit of heroin! That dude was so far gone by the end of his life. If you enjoyed the movie and are interested in him, you should read "Basquiat: A Quick Killing In Art" http://www.amazon.com/Basquiat-Quick-Killing-Art-Revised/dp/0143035126/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1233170621&sr=1-3

Its a much more thorough biography, with tons of insight from the people who knew, loved, hated, and worked with Jean-Michel.
