Call of Duty Mural: Phase Two - Black Ops

As promised, here are more photos of the Call of Duty mural that IAM8BIT brought me in to create at the Santa Monica, CA office of Treyarch (the game developer behind the CoD series). Today's collection of snapshots are from the wall depicting the critically-acclaimed Call of Duty: Black Ops!

And, of course, I had to throw in some zombies....

I still have two more photo sets to share. Look for those on the blog, next week. To check out the previous collection of mural pics, click here: Call of Duty Mural: Phase One - Allied Invasion.

New Football Drawings

"Enter The Red Zone #87" / 9 x 12" / watercolor, acrylic & ink on paper

Low & behold, I've actually been creating football illustrations, this season. I've even been sketching a bit during college games! Honestly, how could I resist? These pieces are a combination of two of my favorite things -- art and football!

The top illustration is from a play where Colts wide receiver, Reggie Wayne, made a catch in the Bills' red zone, and it took three Buffalo defenders to tackle him.

"Unto The Breach" / 9 x 12" / watercolor, acrylic & ink on paper

And the second piece is from one of the many times during the Houston vs. Detroit Thanksgiving matchup, where Texans running back, Arian Foster, plowed through the Lions' defense like a freight train rolling through a stack of pound cakes.

Look for more of these to start sneaking up on the blog, between now and The Super Bowl.

Call Of Duty Mural: Phase One - Allied Invasion

Hello folks, and welcome back from Thanksgiving. I hope you've all recovered from your food comas, and are as eager to attack the remainder of 2012 as I am.

This week, I'll start posting photos from the Call of Duty mural I created at the Santa Monica, CA office of Treyarch (the game developer behind CoD: Black Ops 2 & more). This first section of images focuses on the wall depicting the Allied invasion of France. Enjoy!

Stay tuned, as I'll be posting more Call of Duty Mural images, later this week!

IAM8BIT/Call Of Duty Office Mural Video

Those coolest of cool kids at iam8bit have done it again! This project was under wraps for the longest time, but the cat is finally out of the bag.

Last winter, they brought me on for a monstrous project - painting a giant mural dedicated to the Call Of Duty video game series, in the offices of the game's developer, Treyarch!

The hallway mural is approximately 70ft long, with each patch of wall depicting scenes from the different installments of the world-renowned first-person shooter -- from the North African desert campaign & Allied invasion of occupied France, to the clandestine operations of The Cold War & the zombie onslaught featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops!

Being the media-savvy gang that they are, iam8bit put together the awesome video above, showing off the finished work. I also have lots of still photos from when I painted this beast, and will have them posted soon.

The 50th Law Graphic Novel

Shortly before joining the ranks of Titmouse, Inc, I was fortunate to land a job illustrating "The 50th Law" -- a comic book adaptation of rapper 50 Cent & writer Rober Green's critically acclaimed self-help book. Detailing 50's epic turn from drug hustler to millionaire performer & businessman, "The 50th Law" is packed with lessons on how to turn life's hardships and downfalls into valuable lessons. It's all about seizing opportunities, turning yourself around & mastering your own fate. Or, simply put, it's about having the "Hustler's Eye."

Published by Smarter Comics, "The 50th Law" is available as a digital download here: ThisIs50Cent. You can also purchase the print version from Amazon.com and other fine book sellers.

As if this wasn't already rad enough, peep the video trailer for the book!

Another Halloween Art Contest Prize Print!

"Urk" / 11 x 14" / graphite, watercolor, acrylic & ink on paper

Here's another illustration that will be a prize print for the winners of my Halloween Art Contest, sponsored by MOO. Nothing says, "All Hallows Eve," quite like a vampire corpse reanimating, only to find itself perpetually boned by the ol' stake-through-the-heart trick!
