C2E2 Commissions!

I had a fantabulous time in Chicago during C2E2 weekend. Many thanks to my friends at Nerd City, for giving me a home at their booth and providing such fun company all weekend long.

And despite grappling with a post-convention nerd flu, upon my return, here are some shots of the drawings & paintings I created for a handful of friendly collectors!

Oh, and this last little guy was actually a doodle that was on my airplane seat, when I flew out of LAX. I don't know who did it or what character it exactly is. But game recognize game, whoever did this has my respect. It's not every day that you get cool, cat-in-a-hula-skirt-playing-ukelele seat graffiti!

"Frankie & Bride"

"Frankie & Bride" / 14x17" / ink on bristol

Here's a black & white piece I rocked for an event the Nerd City crew is throwing in Chicago, next month. The theme I was given was "monster ballroom dance," so my imagination instantly conjured up a high school prom.

The colorized version will be posted soon. In the meantime, back to unpacking my new headquarters!

C2E2 Drawings & Wrap-Up

The pics above are some of the drawings I whipped up, during C2E2. Much gratitude to the collectors who commissioned me for the works.

Things are finally settling back into normalcy, now that I'm back home from the show. Simply put, the convention ROCKED! Buckets of thanks and appreciation to the fans, friends and colleagues who were involved in all the fun & mayhem of last weekend. And big-ups to Reed Exhibitions for greatly improving on the show for its second year. I'm already looking forward to C2E2 2012.

Lastly, thanks to the city of Chicago. I've been visiting you pretty regularly for nearly a decade, and -- in summer and snow -- you've always been good to me.

Chicago Con Drawings!

The below pics are commissions and quick sketches I rocked for the kind folks who stopped by my table at C2E2, last weekend. I had everything from a little girl asking for a Spider-Man sketch, to a guy asking me to draw Batman getting hit in the balls. Truly outrageous... Thanks to all the fans and creators who supported the Chicago convention, in its inaugural year. And thanks to the City of Chicago, for getting me drunk 3 nights in a row, letting me dance and act a fool with my friends, and keeping me well fed with endless supplies of deep-dish pizza and 14" burritos!

Here are some better photos of my paintings from PopCultour 2, in Chicago. I've also posted some shots of my good buds -- Jose Garibaldi, Mike Huddleston, and Ben Templesmith in action!
