Back In Black, White & Red

Hello, everybody! Long time, no blog. I sorta dropped off the face of the interweb, at the end of last year. But my disappearing act was with good reason.

Just after Thanksgiving, I was fortunate to be hired on at Titmouse, Inc, the amazingly kick-ass cartoon studio behind Venture Bros, Metalocalypse, Freaknik: The Musical and lots, lots more. And when I started my job there, I also started full-on production of my next graphic novel project. So for just over two months, I was learning the ins-and-outs of character design by day, and cranking away on hand-painted comic pages by night. Something had to give. So I did what any respectable artist hermit would do -- I kissed my social life goodbye, abandoned my social media outlets, and hunkered down for the long haul.

Thanks to the monkey gods of comics and cartoon culture, I survived the crushing lack of time. Even better, the graphic novel project just wrapped, this month. Thus, I'm back to my old tricks! I've got oodles of art fun planned for 2012. So, once again, you can stay tuned to this blog for news and updates. In the meantime, enjoy these fine doodles, executed during my daily commute!
