"LIONS" By Meat Grinder...

Above are snapshots of a recent copy of LIONSEATYOU that went out, complete with an original sketch! I also thought folks might like to see my lovely, old-style meat grinder chillin' in the background. Gotta love the ol' No. 50 Climax Food Chopper. I kid you not. That's what's embossed on the side of it.

This is the finish on a quick, mixed-media piece I started in my notebook, a weekend or two ago. It was a nice exercise in letting a piece come together "naturally"... just trying to tap into my creativity, without over-thinking every step of the process.

Haven't rocked an On The Slate in awhile. This is the beginning layers of a little warm-up painting in one of my sketchbooks. There's something exquisite about painting and drawing on a slow Saturday afternoon.

Paper Bag Pugilist

One man's garbage is another man's canvas. Hence, the above drawing. I've been regularly experimenting with various paper surfaces. I'm determined to not spend a dime on paper or a new sketchbook between now and the New Year. Seems kinda frivolous, considering all the supplies I've got stacked in my studio.
